platforms and re-arranging lights

Practising with lights and created a platform for him to walk and bark. I have just made his neck move to create the barking movement rather than lip syncronising. Placed two spot lights around him and got the sound from www.sounddogs.com and imported it into premier pro and make the sound aslong as the piece of animation.(saved it as a wav.)His eyes seem to be doing something very weird

light positions and angles

trying to figure out the light which it will create a spotlight on the dogs face so then all you can see is him. Then I will add the sound aswell to create the animation.

figuring out how effective the light should be so, it creates a shadow/spotlight. I have been working out the angles in which the light will appear either under him or just appear on him. And to get the noises involved aswell import it from www.sounddogs.com and then put it into soundbooth/forge (change it into wav the import it into 3d max).

Storyboard

The first scene it wil be just black and then there will be a spotlight which will appear fromt he left hand side corner. Then the dog walks in and his head turns up says 'woof'. The noises in the background will be woof noises and maybe the light coming on.

I have modelled the dog and I have found some noises that would go with the dog. There will be fly noises its going to be like Charlie Brown were he always has a horrible comfort blanket that you can sense it smells so i've found some fly noises aswell to give the effect.

flies (first one in the list) the noises are realistic which work to effect.
Because the other character dont talk theres going to be just mumble noises. Keeping him the grumpy teenager and that they dont speak alot. But he might speak a little to the dog. Because the dog brings out his personality that most of the time is hidding behind a shield. But in his own way.
